- Description
- Limited Sources Justification JPATS has a requirement for professional Information Technology Services, in support of the JMIS Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and custom developed products, which tracks JPATS financials and schedules the transportation of prisoners. This procurement is for the provision of operation, maintenance and administration of existing systems architectures, including hardware and software, applications, databases and operating systems. The service consists of: (1) creation or reengineering of a logical series of applications that perform required business functions, to include, but not be limited to, design review, software / system coding, testing demonstrations, documentation and acceptance; (2) Integration of diverse components such as hardware, software, telecommunications, data and processes to function as a cohesive system; (3) Delivery of a completed production system; (4) Make data assets visible and accessible, enabling data to be understandable, enabling data to be entrusted, supporting data interoperability, and being responsive to user needs; (5) Provide contingency operations planning, simulation and testing, and implementation as required; (6) Provide customer support to internal users. This requirement is for the sustainment, operations and maintenance of the JMIS application. JMIS offers a singularly unique system that is complex and highly technical, which requires specific and unique skill sets to develop and maintain. The initial delivery of JMIS was created using COTS Oracle products, but has since been tailored with custom interfaces and function-specific coding to become a one-of-a-kind JPATS adapted suite of applications.
