N00164-18-S-NB64 - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION - Manufacture of 10kW, Continuous Wave Illuminator, Crossed Field Amplifier, Switch Tube, and Simplified Driver Traveling Wave Tube Containers - PSC 8145- NAICS 326150 Issue Date: 03 April 2018 - Closing Date: 18 April 2018 - 4:00 p.m. local time. MARKET RESEARCH - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for the manufacture of reusable shipboard containers for the following AEGIS Microwave Tubes: 10kW traveling wave tube (TWT), Continuous Wave Illuminator (CWI), Crossed Field Amplifier (CFA), Switch Tube (SWT), and Simplified Driver (SDR) Traveling Wave Tube Containers. The Government is issuing this RFI/sources sought announcement as part of market research and no contract will be awarded from this RFI. The Navy intends to solicit and negotiate this contract on a full and open competition IAW FAR 6.1. Delivery is required FOB Destination. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, is seeking information from companies that have the capability and facilities to manufacture 10kW traveling wave tube, Continuous Wave Illuminator, Cross Field Amplifier, Switch Tube, and Simplified Driver Traveling Wave Tube Containers. Responses should include which shipping containers respondents are able to manufacture. Interested companies should also include historical evidence of the manufacture and testing of said shipping containers. If no historical evidence exists, submit explicit details on the ability to provide equipment, parts, materials, facilities, and labor necessary to manufacture the shipping containers. All interested parties are encouraged to submit company and product literature, a white paper no longer than 3 pages and/or other pertinent information (such as a description with performance parameters and a statement of current availability, summary of prior testing, reports, and/or identify other Government contracts with similar efforts) for the Governments consideration.
