Information contained herein is based on the most current/accurate information available at the time of publication, is subject to revision, and is not binding upon the Government. REQUIREMENT AIRWorks, on behalf of the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), is currently exploring the potential of establishing a contract vehicle to support full rate production and installation of aircraft components, systems, and modification kits that have been developed by the Government or through contracts under which the Government has obtained the appropriate data rights for third party competition. The AIRWorks team is evaluating potential solutions to meet this recurring command requirement, including the establishment of a multiple lot multiple award contract vehicle estimated over 1 billion dollars. The notional scope of the contract under consideration may include: • Full rate production of mechanical and electrical components • Modification / upgrade of mission systems and components • Installation / modification of aircraft and related systems at Government facilities • Installation / modification of aircraft and related systems at Contractor facilities • Kitting and Inventory distribution of produced kits • Logistics Support • Obsolescence Engineering Services • Ancillary services It is the intent of the Government over the next several months to solicit input from industry on this requirement. There are currently no projected dates available for any potential contract milestones, including issuance of a sources sought, or solicitation release. Additionally, the Government does intend to have representatives available at the April 5th Patuxent Partnership/NAWCAD Industry Day event to discuss this requirement. Further information for that event, including registration, can be found here: http://www.paxpartnership.org/index.cfm?action=CL2&Entry=1972 RESPONSE SUBMITTAL INSTRUCTIONS Interested vendors are not required to provide a response to this notification; however, the Government is open to receive industry feedback on: • Overarching Strategy • Contract Type • CLIN Structure • Facility requirements • Small Business utilization • Challenges faced by industry • Quality Management • Other contracts that NAWCAD should consider for reference • Evaluation methodologies • Ordering Period length • Questions, Comments, Concerns Feedback may be sent via email to AIR-2.5.1.2 Procuring Contracting Officer, Thomas Conrow, at thomas.conrow@navy.mil; and to AIR-2.5.1.2 Deputy PCO, Kristen Ferro, at kristen.ferro@navy.mil for consideration.
