- Description
- Sources Sought to identify potential vendors with experience in producing Lasers for the CIRCM System The CIRCM Program is a U.S. Army Acquisition Category 1C (ACAT 1C) Program. PM ASE is seeking sources to provide a Laser Subsystem. The Laser Subsystem consists of three separate laser wavelengths, optical components, control electronics, and the associated software and firmware which have been tested and qualified by the U.S. Army. PM ASE plans to integrate the Laser Subsystem under a separate contract, with a Pointer Tracker and connected with a System Processor. This effort will also include repair, depot, and fielding logistics for a period of two years. Software improvements and sustainment builds will be included in this contractual effort. The procurement shall also include the software and firmware required for the laser to operate. System level integration and software will be acquired under a separate contract. A Level II (Developmental) Technical Data Package (TDP) was procured under a previous contract and is the controlling documentation for the production and marking of the Laser Subsystem. The TDP does not contain drawings below the Shop Replaceable Unit level. The Government has Government Purpose Rights to key interfaces and Limited Data Rights associated with Commercial Item Restrictions. The integrated CIRCM System will be installed with an A-Kit on potentially all rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft within the Department of Defense. The procurement and installation of the A-Kit will be handled under a separate contract.
