Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Roche Diagnostic Inc. The period of performance for contract award will be from May 1, 2018 through April 30, 2019 with provision of one (1) option year. This requirement is to provide maintenance and service for Roche Ventana Slide Strainers located at Syracuse VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210. Covered equipment includes: Manufacturer Model EE# Serial # Ventana Benchmark XT 209223 714227 Ventana Nexes Special Stains 209224 512263 Roche Diagnostic, Inc. is the only known provider since the software is proprietary and the maintenance can only be provided by Roche Diagnostic Inc. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by April 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to Kimberly.wiatrowski@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
