Description

The scope of this project is to provide all design build services, labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, transportation, and all other resources necessary to renovate the 6 North inpatient ward with semi-private rooms to private rooms with private bathrooms. The project will renovate 13,022 departmental GSF. The renovation shall include asbestos mitigation as well as electrical, mechanical and plumbing renovations. This project will include new headwalls, booms and patient lifts. Nursing stations shall accommodate a minimum of 3 RN's, 2 Nursing Aides(LPN/CNA) and 1 HAS clerk. There will be 12 beds: 6N- 10 patient rooms/1 Isolation room/1- Bariatric room FCA s D-113264, D-87420, D-237663, D-314436, D-110164 - This renovation will be a design build project. Proj No./Title: 673-18-620/Renovate 6 North to Private Rooms Work Location: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Tampa, FL. Estimated Target Completion Period: 548 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. NAICS: 236220. Size Standard is $36.5 Million. Product Services Code: Z2DA This is a design-build project/solicitation that will use the trade-off selection process, providing the best value to the Government. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 5, 2018. All information for this solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web-site at www.fbo.gov. All interested firms must be registered in the System for Award Management https://www.sam.gov and certified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov. Green Environmental Management System (GEMS) - Contractors selected for award of this contract are expected to be good stewards of the environment by complying with federal, state and local environmental laws and other requirements such as medical center policy and project specifications. In addition, contractors should incorporate pollution prevention and waste minimization into operations.
