- Description
- Stand-Up support for the new Joint Force Space Component Command For HQ AFSPC A2/3/6: The Directorate is the responsible for organizing, training, and equipping (OT&E) space forces to provide to COCOMs. Ensuring the forces are properly trained and organized is critical for successful execution of operations. The organization will provide a critical and synergistic effect between the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) and the supported COCOMs providing the warfighter with vital intelligence and operational space and cyberspace capabilities, especially in antiaccess, area-denial (A2D2) operational areas. Additionally, ensuring the appropriate involvement of intelligence analysis through-out the acquisition process further protects future space and cyberspace weapon systems from current and emerging threats. For HQ AFSPC A5/8/9: The Directorate's mission is to provide resilient and affordable Space and Cyberspace capabilities for the Joint Force and the Nation. This unique capacity and perspective, fielded by a battle ready, responsive and forward-thinking team of America's best, is the engine behind precision strike, global awareness and data connectivity capabilities crucial to the Joint Forces and key to the future U.S. military advantage. For SMC: MASE is a program to field mature space environment technology to improve combat operations. MASE demonstrates a sensor-to-shooter solution to improve mission effectiveness by providing commanders an operational risk assessment tool. MASE will deliver a capability comprised of weapon system tailored visualizations/decision aids to allow warfighter integration into operational plans and tactics, techniques, and procedures at strategic, operational, and tactical levels of warfare.
