- 1 This is a Sources Sought Notice only. This is not a Request for Quote. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified Contractors who are able to meet the requirements listed. This is not a solicitation. A solicitation will be issued at a later date. This notice does not restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary. The Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any Contractor for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The NAICS Code is 337127-Laboratory Type Furniture This is an SDVOSB set aside. Please see list of requirements and items below. This is for the Brand Name or equal of requested products. Manufacturer is SBB. If you can quote an equal you MUST provide specifications, brochures and any other information that will help with comparison. If you do not provide this information you will be deemed non responsive. Interested Contractors are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective Contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Your response needs to address how you will meet the Government's requirements. DO NOT SEND QUOTES AT THIS TIME STATEMENT OF WORK A. GENERAL INFORMATION 1. Title of Project: Sterile Storage Cabinets 2. Scope of Work: This is for the Brand name or equal of SBB Sterile Storage Cabinets. The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this statement of work (SOW), except as may otherwise be specified. The contractor shall provide 2 cabinets that adheres to all of the requirements for storage of Sterile Instruments found under VA directive 1116(2). They must be cleanable, control temperature, humidity and pressure within the storage cabinet. We also require the following: Quantity of 2 - Dimensions of cabinet 72.3"H X 30.37"W X 29.18"D - Hospital grade 304L Stainless steel cleanable construction. - Integral mechanical cooler to maintain 66-72F payload temperature setpoint & 20-60% humidity Integral steam humidifier in the payload storage area to be supplied with Demineralized sterile water bottles to be replaced by nursing staff. Condensate collection system using collection bottles to be hand emptied by nursing staff. Built in recirculation fans and HEPA filtration system to ISO 7 levels. - Unit mounted casters for mobility. - UPS battery backup for temporary power backup protection. - See through glass doors - (5) stainless steel pullout shelves 27 ¾"W x 11"D with 7" spacing in between; sized to accommodate (25) VA spec storage containers. Onboard DDC control system utilizing a digital display for monitoring temperature, humidity and status. 120V Hospital grade 10' long plug in cord. Pressure monitor with alarm 1 year warranty on parts The contractor will provide on-site installation and any education needed for the user. The contractor will also provide an in-service for our Bio-Med department, educating them on the PM s needed and a years worth of consumables that will be needed for maintenance. 3. Background: These cabinets are needed for storage of sterile instruments in areas where the environment is unable to adhere to the standards. The cabinets must be able to control all aspects(temp, humidity and air exchanges) of the environment within the cabinet. This will allow us to adhere to the guidelines set in VA Directive 1116(2) for storage of sterile instruments. Down the road this could be especially helpful in CBOCs and Clinics where we have difficulties controlling the environment supplies are stored in. 4. Performance Period: [Firm-Fixed-Price] The contractor shall complete the work required under this SOW within 4 to 8 weeks after award.
