Description

The Network Contracting Office 21 (NCO 21) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for Project 654-16-614, Water Safety Dead Leg Removal. The purpose of this project is to remove all plumbing dead legs throughout three buildings: 1D, 10 and 12. The facility has identified 124 dead legs of pipe in these buildings. Work to remove these dead legs will consist of de-construction, demolition, piping reconfiguration, pipe insulation, ceiling openings, ceiling closings, wall openings, wall closings, plumbing, pipes, valves and associated structural components. Place of performance is 975 Kirman Avenue, Reno, Nevada, 89502. The contract construction period of performance will be 60 days from issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP). This project is being solicited as a total 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). IAW VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, with the Small Business Size Standard of $15 million. The solicitation is tentatively scheduled to be released on-or about 7 May 2018. The location, date and time of the site visit conference will be in the solicitation. Proposals will be due 30 days from the solicitation issue date. Actual dates and times will be identified in the solicitation. The solicitation, specifications, and drawings will be available only from the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, on-line at www.fbo.gov. All parties must obtain solicitation documents and amendments to the solicitation through FBO. Hard copies will not be mailed. It is the responsibility of all contractors to frequently check the website for all notices, amendment, etc., regarding this solicitation. The Government will not be responsible for any notification not sent or received by the contractor regarding the solicitation. In accordance with FAR 5.203, this notice is being published at least fifteen days before issuance of the solicitation.
