- SUBJECT: Laundry Advanced System (LADS) W56HZV-18-R-0107 SOLE SOURCE TWO (2) YEAR REQUIREMENTS CONTRACT ESTIMATED QTY: 1 LADS will be modified NSN: 3510-01-463-0114 PSC: 3510 The U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC)-Warren, Detroit Arsenal, MI 48397-5000 intends to procure service for the modification of one (1) Laundry Advanced System (LADS) via a sole source two-year, firm-fixed-price, IDIQ type contract. This service will be procured from Guild Associates - CAGE 4X630, which is the LADS OEM in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(ii)(A)(B), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, substantial duplication of cost to the government that is not expected to be recovered through (A) competition or (B) unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements". The government has a requirement to modify laundry cycles for the LADS in order to accommodate new uniform materials and resolve obsolescence of components, as well as develop design changes to ease maintenance activities. The modified LADS delivered under this contract will incorporate these changes. Additionally, an updated Technical Data Package and logistics documentation will also be procured under this effort. All other responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government will award only one contract. The successful contractor will be responsible for updating the existing Technical Data Package, modifying laundry cycles for the LADS in order to accommodate new uniform materials and resolve obsolescence of components, as well as develop design changes to ease maintenance activities. This LADS will be tested to ensure all design changes can be incorporated. The period of performance will not exceed 36 months. All contractors must be registered in the DoD's System for Award Management (SAM) system at http://www.sam.gov. Information on getting registered may be obtained on the website. Solicitation number W56HZV-18-R-0107 is anticipated to be issued in May 2018 with proposals due in June 2018.
