- DESCRIPTION: Construction project to replace three (3) aging Keeler water tube boilers that provide steam throughout the entire medical center campus, with three (3) new high-pressure boilers, to includes associated equipment. Also, a new boiler plant building and graphics control station will be constructed. Project No./Title: 573-14-600/Replace Boilers Work Location: Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, Gainesville, FL 32608 Estimated Target Completion Period: 740 calendars days after Notice to Proceed (NTP) Magnitude of this project is between $10,000,000.00 and $20,000,000.00. NAICS 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors. Size Standard is $15 Million. Product Service Code Y1DZ This solicitation that will use the trade-off source selection process, providing the best value to the Government. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 14, 2018. All information for this solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web-site at www.fbo.gov At the time of proposal submission, contractors must have current registration/certification in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.SAM.GOV and VetBiz at www.vip.vetbiz.gov. Proposals of contractors not registered/certified in both databases will not be considered for award. Green Environmental Management System (GEMS) - Contractors selected for award of this contract are expected to be good stewards of the environment by complying with federal, state and local environmental laws and other requirements such as medical center policy and project specifications.
