Description
Pre-solicitation Notice Solicitation Number 1630J1-18-R-00008 U Education & training services 541611 Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services On or about May 11, 2018, the Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL ETA) anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal, (RFP), for Outreach and Admissions and Career Transition Services for the states of New York and New Jersey for eligible individuals participating in the Job Corps program. The Job Corps program was originally established by the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964; current authorization for the program is authorized under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014. The Job Corps program is a national residential and non-residential training and employment program administered by the United States Department of Labor to address multiple barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged youth, ages 16-24 years, throughout the United States. This requirement includes recruitment of 2,200 eligible individuals, (1,140 males and 1,060 females), for the Job Corps program, as well as providing post-center transition services to a minimum of 200 graduates and 50 former enrollees. In performance of the subject requirement, the successful contractor will work in conjunction with the Regional Job Corps Centers to serve youth 16-24 years old. The RFP will be available on the World Wide Web at the government point of entry, (FEDBIZOPPS.GOV), http://www.fbo.gov. The RFP will be posted as a total small business set-aside and will be firm-fixed unit price type. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will have a two-year base period of performance and three unilateral one-year option periods. A pre-proposal conference will be held at the John F. Kennedy Federal Building, Boston, MA. The date and time of the pre-proposal conference will be identified in the Request for Proposal, (RFP). It is recommended that potential offerors download and read the RFP from the web site prior to attending the pre-proposal conference. All questions must be submitted in writing and will be addressed via amendment to the RFP.
