- NEMA MG-1, Motors and Generators, 2004 NEMA ICS1, Industrial Control & Systems, General Standards, 2000 NEC 2014, Article 610 Cranes and Hoists MIL-DTL-24784/4C, Commercial Off-the-shelf Equipment Manual Requirements 29 CFR Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Dept of Labor a. Subpart N, 1910.179 Overhead and Gantry Cranes Tower Crane 5 Specs The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Forces Logistics Command (SFLC) in Baltimore, MD is performing market research to determine available sources with the capability to provide the following supplies and services to upgrade the electrical systems and controls for Tower Crane Five: •· Replacement all the AC motors (main hoist, aux hoist, boom hoist, swing and gantry) with associated AC drive, encoders, and wires/conduits. •· Design and furnish new PLC panels with software and diagnostic system, new cab with controls, and replace emergency stop pushbutton stations. The supplies and services outlined in the attached PWS are required for the upgrade to Tower Crane #5 electrical control system. The removal and installation of equipment will be handled by USCG Yard personnel. It is anticipated that a Request for Proposal may be released for a firm fixed price contract. Potential sources are encouraged to submit information demonstrating their capabilities to provide the supplies and services as outlined in the attached documents. Submissions should be kept to a 5 page maximum. The applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 335314. A set-aside determination has not yet been made. Interested parties shall submit their business size and shall include any applicable preference program (i.e. 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Small Business, Woman-Owned Small Business). Responses are due no later than May 14, 2018, 5:00pm, EST and may be submitted via email to Kevin.J.Lettich@uscg.mil. Questions concerning this sources sought notice may be directed to Mr. Lettich via email. This sources sought does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website http://www.fbo.gov/. It is the responsibility of the potential respondents to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this potential requirement. The information provided in this sources sought is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. The release of this sources sought should not be construed as a commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought. Respondents are advised that the Coast Guard will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this sources sought.
