- SOLICITATION N0016418Q0089 - SOLE SOURCE (BRAND NAME ONLY) - STRATASYS 1000 PLUS 3D PRINTER - FSC 3695 - NAICS 333249 Solicitation Issue Date: 01 May 2018 - Solicitation Closing Date: 30 May 2018 - 2:00 PM EDT Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for a Stratasys Objet 1000 Plus 3D Printer. The proposed contract action is for the Polyjet 3D printer for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate a Stratasys Objet 1000 Plus under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (c). This brand name 3D printer is being purchased due to the Government's specific requirements. This procurement will be issued as a Brand Name only for the Stratasys name brand Objet 1000 Plus 3D printer, studio software, startup kit, handcart, resin material, installation and training, and standard 12 month warranty. The requirements set forth in paragraph three are driven by customer requirements that exceed our current capabilities. Our largest 3D printer has a maximum print size of 12 in x 12 in x 12 in and prints with a single material, ABS plastic. NAVSEA, NAVSUP, Air Force, and SSP all have requirements that surpass current 3D printer capabilities. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which may be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and the Joint Certification Program (JCP) in order to receive the Justification and Approval (J&A) letter. Offerors may obtain information on SAM registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-866-606-8220 or via the internet at https://www.sam.gov. Information about the JCP is located at https://public.logisticsinformationservice.dla.mil/PublicHome/jcp/default.aspx. The controlled attachments will be posted to FedBizOps at the same time the solicitation is posted. FedBizOps may be accessed at http://www.fbo.gov. All changes that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to the FedBizOpps website. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and / or award.
