PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Project Number: 537-18-145 Solicitation Number: 36C25218B0884 Description: Food & Nutrition Site Preparation Location: Jesse Brown VA Medical Center THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS A 100% SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB). The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for Site Preparation for the Food & Nutrition area at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center (JBVAMC) located at 820 S. Damen Avenue, Chicago, IL 60612. The Contractor shall provide all Labor, Materials, Equipment, Supervision, Management, and all other resources necessary to prepare existing space in the In-Patient Kitchen area at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center for installation of a new Dish Machine. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors with applicable small business size standard of $15 million. The project magnitude price range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The project is scheduled to have a period of performance of one hundred and fifty-nine (159) calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The solicitation, including specifications and drawings, will be posted to FedBizOpps (https://www.fbo.gov/) on or about 21 May 2018. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The solicitation will be issued on/about March 12, 2018 with the bid opening on/about April 12, 2018. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOps which may be issued to this solicitation. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003 (b), SDVOSB firms must be verified in the VIP database (www.vip.vetbiz.gov) or hold a Re-verification symbol listed next to the firm s name (this symbol indicates that the firm is undergoing the re-verification process at CVE), prior to award of contract.
