- This is a SPECIAL NOTICE to announce an INDUSTRY DAY on Thursday, 31 May 2018, at the Fort Shafter Area Office, building 127, which is located at the bottom of the Tripler Army Medical Center grounds from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The purpose is to provide details of our project and gather new and innovative design, building techniques or construction materials that would be best suited for Kwajalein Family Housing that must be able to withstand the remote island conditions. We seek to gather information from all manufacturers, distributors, and builders of residential housing products and solutions that will result in high quality residential units suitable for use by Department of Defense personnel stationed at Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI). The government will provide responses to any questions. The applicable NAICS code is 236115. Interested parties should submit their responses in accordance with "Instructions for Responders" shown below. Interested parties unable to attend in person will be able to call into a conference call line. Please respond with your interest to participate in person or via teleconference so we can make necessary adjustments to the venue based on response and interest. Individual meetings can be scheduled after the function or the following day as needed. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District (POH) has a mission to provide the Army with durable residential housing units that meet the minimum criteria of the Unified Facilities Criteria 4-711-01, Family Housing that are highly suited to Kwajalein Atoll's severely corrosive marine environment. The salient characteristics required for a single Unit include: - Bedrooms - Full bathroom(s) - Kitchen - Dining Room - Living Room - Laundry Room - Interior Storage and Closets - Exterior Door - Operable Windows - Interior partitions - Interior electrical wiring, appurtenances, and appliances - Interior plumbing fixtures and appliances - Underground connections to electrical service drops - Underground potable and wastewater service connections - Split system air conditioning throughout (except for bathroom) - Automatic fire suppression sprinkler system - Interior wall and flooring finishes - International Residential Code (IRC) compliant flame and smoke spread ratings - Certified Energy Star Housing - Constructed of corrosion resistant materials compatible with a severely corrosive marine environment POH is interested in a total of 26 units: Instructions for Responders: 1. Provide your company name, address, and CAGE Code. 2. Identify the individual Point of Contact, title, email, and phone number. 3. Indicate the company's business sector (e.g., manufacturer, distributor, builder, developer, etc.) and product(s). 4. A spreadsheet format summarizing the product(s) with names, model numbers, construction material, and erection methodology, etc. is requested. Do not send product brochures, specifications, or catalogs at this time. 5. Provide your response to the below email or the following physical address by 3:00 P.M.
