Description

Modification to Notice (ao 16 May 2018): the RFI due date is extended from 23 May to 30 May at 1600hrs Los Angeles local time -------------------------------- The United States Government (USG) is pursuing a series of Pathfinders to demonstrate new methods for future Commercial Satellite Communication (COMSATCOM) acquisitions supporting Department of Defense (DoD) operations. The COMSATCOM Pathfinder series is developing the business and technical capabilities necessary for the USG to more effectively access available COMSATCOM resources for the warfighter worldwide. The COMSATCOM Pathfinder series will demonstrate a new paradigm of acquiring transponder(s) and commercial capabilities to influence Industry to add desired military capabilities (enhancements) to future COMSATCOM systems in exchange for access to multiple COMSATCOM service provider's constellations. Specifically, responses to this RFI (reference Attachment 1 and 2) will help refine the PF #4 acquisition strategy.
