- Description
- The VBA Reno Regional Office is seeking a single, firm-fixed price contract for American Sign Languages services, located in Reno, NV 89511. The contractor shall perform ASL services to RO employees who are deaf and/or hearing impaired. Services shall include but not limited to: interpreting for employees in a variety of settings both formal and informal; the Contractor shall actively communicate with the hearing impaired employees and their respective supervisor to ensure all policies, deadlines, goals, and objectives are understood by both parties; Contractor shall receive evaluations from employees and supervisors regarding effectiveness/deficiencies of communication. The Contractor shall provide to the Reno Regional Office four (4) hours of service a day, Monday through Wednesday and Friday 8am to 12pm; Thursday s 10am to 2pm; excluding Federal Holidays. The Contractor shall provide approximately two (2) hours a day of formal sign language services and approximately two (2) hours a day will be providing informal communication services such as interpretation during office meetings and general conversations. This requirement is a total set-aside for a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business under NAICS 541930. All contractors are required to be registered in SAM and verified in VetBiz.gov to be eligible. The anticipated period of performance is estimated to begin July 25, 2018 and continue through July 24, 2019. There are expected to be provisions for option years to extend services until July 24, 2023. The Government intends on posting a solicitation on or about June 5, 2018. THIS IS A SYNOPSIS ONLY. This is issued solely for information and planning purposes it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a promise to issue an RFQ in the future. This does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the VA is not at this time seeking quotes and will not accept unsolicited responses.
