- Solicitation Number:19GY2018R0004 Notice Type: Presolicitation This is a Pre-solicitation Notice of the US Government's intent to issue a solicitation for the construction of a well to supply drinking water to the Embassy of the United States of America in Georgetown, the Co-operative Republic of Guyana. Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Georgetown, Guyana will launch the solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website when it is available. The project consists of the construction of a new well. The order of magnitude for this requirement is between $100,000 and $250,000. The estimated period of performance is 120 calendar days; this acquisition will be issued under full and open procedures. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is a responsible contractor. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. The Government is planning a pre-quotation conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation. All contractors have to be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals. The guidelines for registration in SAM are also available at: https://www.statebuy.state.gov/pd/Pages/AdditionalVendorReg.aspx No electronic offers will be accepted. Please mail your offer to the contracting office listed in this notice prior to the response date and time. Place of Performance: · Georgetown, Guyana The solicitation is expected to be posted NLT June 11, 2018 and it will be available for 30 days - reference 19GY20018R0004. Contractors shall express their interest in this solicitation by written correspondence to the attention of the Contracting Officer. All correspondence shall be submitted via email to GeorgetownGSOProcurementDL@state.gov and must include the solicitation number 19GY20018R0004 in the subject line. Firms shall be knowledgeable in written and spoken English and possess all appropriate permits and licenses to perform such work in Guyana. Solicitation and award will be subject to the laws and regulations of the United States of America and is being competed utilizing full and open competition procedures.
