Description

Please remove the ACAFSoleSource.pdf document from the Special Notice and all modifications. In the original Special Notice please remove the last sentence The total estimated value of the effort is $22,292.00 for one base year and four, 12 month option periods. The reason for this modification request is because the information was uploaded in error. The description below is correct and should be the only description available visible to the public: NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego intends to issue a sole source contract in accordance with FAR Part 12 to Clear Science Inc. location: 7435 State Road 21, Keystone Heights, FL 32656. The proposed contract action is for maintenance and support of the Advanced Climate Analysis and Forecasting (ACAF) System for Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (FNMOC), Monterey, CA. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Clear Science Inc. was found to be the sole provider of this program in the United States of America and the world. Due to source coding no other company is known to provide this specific type of software program maintenance. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available. The NAICS code is 541512 and the applicable business size is $27.5 million. Interested parties shall submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement via e-mail. Requests must include company name, address, POC name, telephone number, fax number, county, CAGE Code, DUNS number, NAICS code, applicable business size, and Tax ID number. Responses are due by June 1, 2018 at 8:30 AM, Pacific Standard Time, via email. If no responses are received, FLCSD will proceed with the sole source award.
