Description

Intent to Sole Source Myla ® System at Louisville VA Medical Center, Louisville, KY The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed contract to BioMerieux, Inc. 100 Rodlophe St., Durham, NC 27712 A sole source procurement will be issued to BioMerieux, Inc. because the Myla system are used in conjunction with the Vitek 2 and Vidas 3, and BacTalert. MYLA is a middleware solution provided by Biomerieux which integrates results from multiple instruments and interfaces them with the laboratory LIS system. The MYLA uses web based technology, and it provides a single point of access for multiple instruments. This system also makes interfacing much easier, the current system is using type 3 software which is VA mandated to be discontinued in the near future. MYLA also allows for multiple input sources, and has a dashboard for viewing different menus on testing, and reporting. SCOPE OF WORK: Louisville VA Medical Center has a need for Myla ® System for patient treatment. EQUIPMENT: Myla System This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than May 24, 2018 at 08:00 am CST to: Christina.Lawrence2@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate.
