- This is a pre-solicitation announcement for the United States Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services, Ames, Iowa, 50010. An Invitation for Bid [IFB] solicitation will be issued on or about June 08, 2018 for a construction project "USDA Removal of Waste Burial Troughs" 12619718B0002 at USDA Ames, Iowa. The project will be performed at the USDA Campus located in Ames, Iowa. The effort is 100% set aside for Small Business. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) code is 236220, with a Small Business Size Standard of $36.5 million. In accordance with FAR 36.204, construction magnitude is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The government contemplates the award of a firm fixed price contract resulting from this solicitation. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, tools, supplies, transportation, personnel, supervision and management necessary to perform the required work and complete the project. The work shall include but is not limited to: Remove compressible manure layer and backfill/compact the excavation with suitable material and replace the parking and road pavement complete with drainage and utilities as per plans and drawings. The solicitation, INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB), Solicitation # 12619718B0002, This IFB will be posted on the Government Wide Point of Entry (GPE) accessed via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation and/or amendments will be distributed. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor this avenue (FEDBIZOPPS) for release of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments
