Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT request for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine the following: The interest and capability of small business, especially service disabled veteran owned small business and veteran owned small business; Whether the business source is a manufacturer or authorized distributor, verified by an authorization letter from the original equipment manufacturer; and Size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 339112 for the proposed acquisition. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10 is seeking potential sources for Richmar HydraTherm Deluxe Moist Heat Therapy Heating Systems, Brand-Name or Equal, for the VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System. All items shall be new; refurbished/used/gray market items are not acceptable. The requirement is for a quantity of five (5) Richmar HydraTherm Deluxe Moist Heat Therapy Heating Systems, Model #HT-R12-DW, which includes drainage pump, 3 standard, 3 universal, 3 cervical, and 3 oversize HydraHeat Packs and divider system. Brands other than the HydraTherm will be considered if they are found to have the following specifications: TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Dimensions: 30 W x 20 D x 33 H or smaller (76 x 50 x 84 cm) Maximum Weight: Standard - 75 lbs (34 kg) Power: 110 - 120 VAC Frequency: 50 / 60 Hz Adjustable Temp. Range: 120 °F - 160 °F (71 °C - 49 °C) Safety thermal cut-out Temp.: 175 °F +/- 5 °F (79 °C +/- 3 °C) Digital Temp. Control Accuracy: +/- 5% Water capacity: 18 Gal (68 L) (without heat packs) FEATURES Composite tub to prevent the formation of rust. Digital low-water sensor automatically turns off the heating element and drainage pump prior to cleaning for safety and longevity. Composite dividers for shelf-height adjustment and management of the re-useable heat packs. Digital thermostat control gives therapist easy control over desired treatment temperature of the water, as well as making documentation and record maintenance easy. 24V control unit versus 110V for facility and staff energy efficiency and safety. Units shall include a drainage pump for quick and easy water removal from the tank to avoid moving of the units for water disposal from gravity-fed hoses. Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for veteran owned small business status must be registered with the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov as an SDVOSB or VOSB.
