- Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Gordon, GA intends to award a sole-source contract to Rest Easy LLC (Candlewood Suites, 2800 Winfield Scott Road, Fort Sam Houston, Texas 78234) and in support of CSTX (Combat Support Training Exercise.) The 3d MCDS is requesting contract lodging in support of its Combat Training Exercise (CSTX) being conducted at Fort Sam Houston, TX for a period of performance 27 June 2018 - 29 July 2018 (31 days). This hotel is selected based on its ability to provide the accommodations, accessibility and affordability required to facilitate smooth operations during 24 hour operations. Residing at this hotel on post will allow Soldiers to maintain proper accountability, manage time hacks, allows easy access to meals in the dining facility and delineate transportation requirements. Also, this accommodation will provide greater safety, and security. Contract with this hotel would allow the commander to conduct training with minimal amount of distractions and will increased operational readiness. The NAICS code for this requirement is 721110. A determination not to compete this requirement was made pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c) (1), Only One Responsible Source. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR Part 13 and Commercial Procedures in FAR Part 12. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. This award is for a period of performance of one month. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written responses are received by 9:00 am 5 June 2018, an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
