- INVITATION FOR BID 70Z0G118BPFA03200 DREDGING FOR MAIN PIER AND JACOBS ROCK CAUSEWAY, USCG ACADEMY, NEW LONDON, CT (NEW LONDON COUNTY) PROJECT #11117891 ISSUE DATE: 18 JUNE 2018 Contractor shall provide supervision, personnel/resources, equipment, tools, materials, and all other items and services necessary to provide dredging services required for maintenance dredging at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. in accordance with plans and specifications associated with Project #11117891. The project includes dredging of approximately 10,700 cubic yards of material with anticipated disposal in accordance with permits and approvals at the Central Long Island Sound Disposal Site (CLDS). Performance Period: Award is anticipated to be made early in the 4th quarter of FY 18. The on-site performance period is 9/17/18-12/31/18 (15 weeks). Mobilization and pre-dredge surveying may occur prior to 10/1/18; however, dredging shall NOT begin prior to 10/1/18 due to regulatory (permit) restrictions. The estimated value of the procurement is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Bid, payment, and performance bonds will be required. Solicitation packages will be available on 18 June 2018. The date set for receipt of bids is scheduled for 19 July 2018 at 2:00 pm. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 - Dredging, with a small business size standard $27.5 Million*. This acquisition is issued pursuant to FAR Part 14 and is 100% Set-Aside Small Business concerns. *To be considered small for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern.
