Description

The purpose of this sources sought announcement is to publicize the US Navy's intent to sole source the extension of the USS MONTPELIER (SSN 765) INTERIM DRY DOCK (IDD) contract N00024-15-C-4300 to Generaly Dynamic Electric Boat (GDEB). GDEB is the current prime contractor to complete the USS MONTPELIER (SSN 765) IDD. At the present point, additional time is required to complete this availablity. GDEB has already completed signficant amount of work under this contract. Therefore, the US Navy utilmately finds GDEB to be the only nuclear qualified shipyard that can perform the remaining requirements of the contract without incurring substantial duplication in costs and adding additiioanl delay to the delivery schedule. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. For subcontracting opportunities, please contact GDEB.
