- The Air Force intends to solicit quotes from qualified vendors for a firm-fixed price contract for Sky Watch Mobile Towers, located at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. The procurement is a commercial acquisition wherein the vendor is to provide SkyWatch Mobile Towers, accessories, and related training on Kadena Air Base for the 18th Security Forces Squadron. This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition using Commercial Acquisition procedures (Reference FAR Part 12) The 18th Security Forces Squadron has a requirement for SkyWatch Mobile Towers. The proposed contract will be awarded using full and open competition. This commodity requirement will be utilized at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. The government intends to make award to the offeror that represents the best overall value considering price and technical acceptability. Solicitation No. FA5270-18-R-0015 will be issued as a Request for Quotes. It is advertised with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 334511. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 10 Aug 2018 at www.fbo.gov. Proposals will be accepted when submitted via e-mail to Lewis.Hampton@us.af mil or when hand carried; proposals must be deposited in the bid depository located at 18 CONS/PKA, Bldg. 99, Kadena AB, Okinawa. Offerors may submit a paper copy of their proposal as well as all information required by the solicitation and must submit proposal by email. The Request for Quotes issue date is an estimation of the date on which the solicitation will be available; however, the solicitation may be posted before or after this projected date. The closing date for receipt of offers will 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Anticipated award date will be on or around 15 Sep 2018. Facsimile, telephone or written request for the solicitation package will not be honored. HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON. All prospective offerors interested in submitting proposals must have a Commercial and Governments Entity (CAGE) code, and must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM)(https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/) in order to be eligible for receipt of contract award.
