Page 1 of 2 SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE Medical Technologist Services Jesse Brown VA Medical Center The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC), on behalf of the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center located at 820 S. Damen Avenue, Chicago, IL 60612, is seeking services for three (3) Certified Medical Technologists to work on a full-time basis no more than 40 hours per week throughout the calendar year. Services are required Monday through Friday for eight-hour shifts (7:00am-3:30pm and 11:00pm-7:30am). The anticipated period of performance is October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019. Medical Technologist candidates must also meet the minimum requirements below. Bachelor s Degree Graduate from medical technology program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) Current certification/registration as determined by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Minimum one-year experience within the past 5 years Upon award, each accepted provider shall undergo a mandatory National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation (BI). The current fee associated with the NACI background investigation is $408.00 per individual. The NAICS for this requirement is 561320 - Temporary Help Services, which has a small business size standard of $27.5 million. It is the intent of the VA to establish a single fixed (unit) price task order or contract. This Sources Sought Notice will be used to identify potential Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors that would be interested and capable of providing qualified medical technologist, and to assist the Contracting Officer in making a set-aside determination either through the Federal Supply Schedule or open market. This notice and any responses are for market research purposes only and shall not be considered as a request for quote or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any services. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of the contractor submission to this Sources Sought Notice or the Government's use of such information. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any contractor's input resulting from this Sources Sought Notice. No contractual arrangement will be made as a result of this announcement. All interested VOSB and SDVOSB parties capable of providing the required Medical Technologist services above shall submit a response via email to Antanette.Shellaugh@va.gov no later than Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. central standard time. To be considered complete, responses shall include the information below. Provide a list of potential candidates who are interested and available to start work by October 1, 2018. Indicate if they have prior VA experience and/or a completed NACI Background Investigation. Provide CVs, NAACLS and ASCP certifications for all candidates identified on the list above. Provide a brief description of the company background, experience in providing Medical Technologist Services, socioeconomic status, past performance with Government contracts, and contractor DUNS number. Provide a copy of current certificate of liability insurance. Provide all-inclusive estimated hourly rates for Medical Technologist in the chart below.
