- Description
- In accordance with 10 U.S. Code § 2371b, an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) has been awarded on July 31, 2018 under the Training and Readiness Accelerator (TReX) for the Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Instrumentation Device. The UAS Device prototype project was awarded to Inter-Coastal Electronics Inc. (ICE) located in Mesa, AZ in the amount of $384,210 for all phases of this effort. The U.S. Army desires a Long-Term Evolution (LTE)-based device to provide real-time position location of UAS platforms during live force-on-force training exercises. Current telemetry devices are too large and heavy for small UAS platforms to carry. This effort will demonstrate the integration of commercial devices and/or components into the Combat Training Center (CTC) Instrumentation system using the LTE communications network.
