Description

Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System (SLVHCS) intends to award a sole-source firm fixed price contract to Diversified Elevator Service and Equipment, 297 State Hwy. 143, Milbrook, AL 36054 DUNS 148088909, for the following services: Insatallation of additional Elevator Indicator Lights which is a follow on to the current elevator maintenance contract that Diversified currently has with SLVHCS.. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The total estimated cost of this contract is $434,042.40. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is561210 with a size standard of $38.5 million for this procurement. The expected award date for this contract is on or about August 30, 2018. The elevator system is currently under maintenance with this contractor. The maintanence contractor is being requested to complete this work as they are currently under contract with SLVHCS. Diverisfied Elevators is ultimately responsible for the full functionality of the elevators. Relocating the elevator lamps and changing contractors outside the maintenance of this contract would present issues in terms of continuity of services and certifying maintenance. Unauthorized services may void stated or implied manufacturer guarantees that are already in place for this system. This notice is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOI), proposals, or quotations and no solicitation will be issued. The government does not anticipate receiving responses to this notice however contractors who disagree with this action may submit a letter of interest that demonstrates your firm s technical expertise, certifications, and authorization to compete for this acquisition to include a rationale for why you should be considered. The government reserves the right to vet/verify any documentation submitted (as described above) with the manufacturer to certify its authenticity. Any responses to this notice shall be received no later than 14 calendar days from the posting of this notice and shall be submitted via e-mail only to Rachel Babin, Contract Specialist, Rachel.babin@va.gov. Late responses shall not be accepted. No telephone inquiries will be accepted and phone calls will not be returned. All responses received will be evaluated. However, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement (based on the responses received to this notice) is solely within the discretion of the Government. Disclaimer and Important Notes: This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in responses. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice shall ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization's qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. Responses to this notice shall not be considered a response to a solicitation.
