36C25018Q9267 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE XOFIGO The Department of Veterans Affairs, The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405-6, Limiting Sources. The NAICS code is 325412 with a small business size standard of 1,250. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate a base with four option years BPA contract with Cardinal Health 414, Inc/Bayer 7710 First Place, Oakwood Village, OH 44146 for Xofigo. Xofigo is used in the treatment of patients with prostate cancer that is resistant to medical or surgical treatments that lower testosterone and has spread to bones with symptoms, but not to other parts of the body. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 5PM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.  All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.   A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
