Description

Technical Evaluation Criteria Purchase Description The NIH MRI Research Facility (NMRF) in NINDS is currently installing a new 7 Tesla MRI scanner for functional MRI studies. These studies require presentation of visual stimuli during the image acquisition, and therefore, need an appropriate display screen that can operate in a high magnetic field environment (i.e. next to a 7 Tesla MRI magnet). The chosen display screen can generate visual stimuli with superior image quality (high contrast, high resolution and no time lag) required for functional MRI studies and can operate in a high magnetic field without interfering with MRI data acquisition. Since, this display will be located inside the scanner, it is easier to set up than using an external projector system. Therefore, acquisition of this display screen will allow researchers to perform state-of-the-art vision research using the new 7T MRI scanner. See Purchase Description attached for more details.
