- CS&C Industry Day - List of Restaurants Near The Westin Arlington Gateway CS&C Industry Day - Map from Ballston Metro Station to The Westin Arlington Gateway CS&C Industry Day - Registration Form CS&C Industry Day - Event Information Sheet The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD), Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C), will host an Industry Day in the Washington, DC area on August 16, 2018. The theme for this year is "Partnering for a More Secure Cyberspace." In its ongoing efforts to increase transparency with industry, the DHS CS&C Industry Day will provide industry with updates on the following areas: NPPD CS&C goals for the Industry Day Event include: • DHS NPPD CS&C mission, vision, and priorities updates. • Top mission priorities, capability, challenges, technology needs, and procurement opportunities. • Existing or upcoming procurements, and future initiatives. • Obtain a better understanding of recent industry developments related to cybersecurity environment. • Acquire strategies to effectively communicate with the cyber security industry. • Collaborate with industry on how to better do business with DHS. The format will feature a general session from NPPD,CS&C Leadership, and the DHS Chief Procurement Officer, a discussion with CS&C Division Leaders and Office of Procurement Operations & Office of Selective Acquisition Leadership, followed by three breakout sessions. The breakout sessions will be an opportunity for government and industry to share knowledge and experience. The topics include: o Technical Roadmap o Cloud Migration o Evolution of the.Gov Security o CDM Updates o Election Security o Automation & Orchestration Attendees will have the option of selecting one topic per breakout session. It is recommended that vendors attend the session for which their capabilities align with the appropriate topic discussion. Space for breakout sessions will also be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis. If the breakout session you request is full, we will automatically add your name to the other session for each breakout session. Agenda will include details on each breakout session. For purposes of registration, please see the list of breakout sessions, which will mainly occur in the afternoon. Specific times for each breakout session will be published in the agenda CS&C will share with industry prior to the event. Breakout Session 1: Topic 1: Technical Roadmap Topic 2: Cloud Migration Breakout Session 2: Topic 1: Evolution of the.Gov Security Topic 2: CDM Updates Breakout Session 3 Topic 1: Election Security Topic 2: Automation & Orchestration WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Large and small companies interested in cybersecurity contracting and subcontracting opportunities and other organizations or stakeholders CS&C collaborates/partners with to accomplish its mission. DISCLAIMER: This notice shall not be construed as a request for proposals, request for quotes, or follow-up acquisition of any type. CS&C will not assume liability for costs incurred by attendees or for preparations, travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, vendors' expenses in response to this notice are not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government. REGISTRATION: Every individual must pre-register to attend this event. Please see attached Registration Form. Please limit the number of attendees from your company to two (2) people, as seating is limited and reservations will be based on a first come-first served basis. If we receive registration for more than 2 individuals per company, we will include the additional individuals on a wait list and will be registered upon space availability. CS&C will contact these individuals directly once added to the attendee list. There is no cost to attend this event; however, space is limited to the first 500 registrants. There will be no lodging provided or refreshments served at this event. Space for breakout sessions is also limited to 250 individuals per breakout session; therefore, we recommend you register early! If you have any questions, please send email correspondence to the email address above. Registration will close on 15 AUGUST 2018 at 1:00pm or when attendance limit is reached; whichever is sooner.
