Description

INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the restoration/construction work for project Water Leak Damage Remediation West Wing, 2nd Floor at the San Diego, CA VA Medical Center (VAMC). This is a Design-Bid-Build project. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Water Leak Damage Remediation West Wing, 2nd Floor, VA Medical Center San Diego as required by drawings and specifications. Work includes general construction, alterations, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, necessary removal of existing items and construction of certain other items. Work also includes all labor, material, equipment and supervision required to perform the Electrical and Mechanical construction work on this project. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 14, 19, and 36 and be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small-Business Set-Aside. Offers received from other than Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small-Business concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 million. The solicitation will be issued on or about August 16, 2018. The period of performance is approximately 365 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00.
