Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, located at University Drive C, Pittsburgh PA, Pittsburgh PA 15240, office of Research and Development, has a requirement to purchase a full field laser perfusion imager (laser speckle) (Brand Name or Equal) as described below. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (large business, small business, 8(a), SDVOSB, VOSB, ett.) relative to NAICS code 333314, Optical Instrument and Lens manufacturing (size standard of 500 employees). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Based on responses to this synopsis, the Government may issue a RFQ as a Brand Name or Equal requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however; any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Tuesday, August 7, 2018 12:00 Noon, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Linda Buccigrossi at Linda.Buccigrossi@va.gov and should include name, address, point of contact, business size/socio-economic status, and product information. No telephone responses will be accepted. This notice is to assist the Government in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Once the equipment is shipped to the VA, the vendor would coordinate installation and training. The Vendor would: supply personnel to install equipment which will complete VA required training. The Vendor would: representative will uncrate and set up all equipment, ensuring all connections have been made and equipment functions as to specifications. The Vendor will test all equipment to ensure it is functioning according to specifications. The Vendor will provide training to staff once equipment is set up and tested. Delivery/Contract Period: expected delivery would be 4-6 weeks from date of award BRAND NAME OR EQUAL: Product Description: Imager: Full Field Perfusion Imager (laser Speckle) comprising; 780nm imaging camera with inbuilt CCD camera (motorized zoom and auto focus with manual over-ride), lens cover, power supply and mains lead, USB and fire-wire (IEEE) leads for PC connection, user manual covering hardware and software operation.
