- Description
- 1 each Micro Calorimeter (PCFC), P/N FTT0001, Installation & Training, Thermocouple Assembly, & Spare Sample Cup. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis, a quantity of 1 each Micro Calorimeter (PCFC), P/N FTT0001, installation & training, thermocouple assembly, & spare sample cup. This requirement is a manufacturer sole source to Fire Testing Technology Ltd, Unit 19 Charlwoods Road, East, Grinstead RH19 2HL, United Kingdom, due to the Micro Calorimeter being designed to comply with ASTM 7309 requirements utilized by other DoD sites. This specific micro calorimeter will allow NAWCWD to generate data that can be compared to other DoD sites using existing data from the same instrument. GBH International, 2 Friar's Lane, Mill Valley, CA 94941, is the only North American representative of Fire Testing Technology Ltd. Any firms believing that they can provide the materials may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the materials without causing programmatic hardship. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Quotations are preferred via email. Contractors must be certified through Defense Logistics Information Services (DLIS) in order to access Controlled Unclassified Information within FBO. All responsible sources must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at the following website: https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Going forward, all new entities registering in GSA's System for Award Management (SAM), as well as existing registrations being updated or renewed, will require the submission of an original, signed notarized letter identifying the authorized Entity Administrator for the entity associated with the Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number before the registration will be activated. It is recommended that all interested parties be aware that processing this additional information may take several days and are proactive in maintaining the SAM registrations in an "Active" status as the government cannot award to an entity without an "Active" SAM registration.
