Description

The Navy Crane Center, Portsmouth, Virginia is seeking sources with relevant qualifications, experience, personnel and capabilities that can provide a straddle type self-propelled 50 metric ton mobile boat hoist (MBH) for Port Hueneme, CA. A metric ton shall be taken as 2,200 pounds, making the rated lifting capacity of the MBH equal to 110,000 pounds. The MBH shall be designed and fabricated in accordance with the industry standard design codes as applicable, tested (pre-shipment), shipped, reassembled, tested (post-delivery) and made ready for use at Port Hueneme, CA. The MBH shall be of the open-end design (one top cross beam) with a pivot trunnion structural frame (gantry), operators cab, hydraulic drive, diesel engine, and fully equalized nylon slings. The MBH shall be equipped with a (Sailboat) top beam extension. The extension shall allow for 5 of additional clearance. Estimated usage for the 50 metric ton MBH is 2-4 hours per day, 7 days per week. See attached document for additional information.
