- Description
- The 109th requires a retractable paint booth to coat components and skis on the LC-130 aircrafts. The specifications for the paint booth must be similiar to the following: 9.5'H x 14'W x 34'L (extended), 6' long (retracted booth length) retractable and portable soft enclosure paint booth system that works through a filtration process to capture particulate and thoroughly so that clean air is returned to the shop environment. -The system must pull 25,000CFM maintaining over the minimum 100 linear feet per minute at the intake filters therefore keeping the conditions well below the 25% low explosion limit. -Interlocked spray air with a VOC monitor to ensure that the VOC level do not rise above 50ppm -Systems fabricated from fire resistant clear and solid vinyl and heavy walled steel framing. -Full width and height filtered swing entry doors. Enclosure Frame: - Galvanized heavy wall, 0.083 wall tube steel frame - 1" & 2" square tubing - Welded construction - Industrial grade 4"casters Vinyl retractable enclosure: - Heat welded vinyl - PVC coated polyester scrim. The PVC formulation should be flame retardant, rot, mildew and ultra-violet resistant and suitable for indoor and some outdoor applications. - Double polished, 95% light transfer - NFPA 701 code compliant. Filtration system self-sustaining without the use of duct work to environmental air. Filtration system: - 13,000CFM - 10 HP backward incline blower wheel - Three phase 460V - Variable Frequency Drive - Built in UL listed control panel and air regulation - Filter Monitoring Gauge - particulate and VOC monitors - Six stage filtering - Intake with panel and pocket style pre-filters front access - High efficiency particulate section - Two stage carbon filter housing section with 990lbs of activated carbon - Induct air VOC oxidizer - Portable on casters - 100% capture of particulate - Gas capture to keep exposure levels below governmental limits - monitors included. - Air flow at paint stage that will surpass the minimum 100 FPM at the intake filters keeping the conditions well below the 25% lower explosion limit. - Air interlocks to ensure that no spray air is available unless the exhaust fan is operational. VOC gas sensors: Sensor: Heated metal oxide semiconductor. Sensitivity: First responds at a few ppm for many VOC gases and vapors. Audio alarm level: Approximately 80 db. Temperature and humidity range: 0-40 deg C and 0-80% relative humidity. Supply voltage required: 12 volts DC, 200 mA. 8'H x 7'W x 7'L attachable decontamination (air shower) room for personnel at booth main door. Air shower for decontamination room: - SAM24 Haz Loc NCR 2'x 4' - 700 CFM - 115V, 60 Hz - HEPA Filter, 99.99% @ 0.3μm - Rated for Class 1 Div. 1 Group D, Class 1 Div. 2 Group F & G
