Box 17300, ATTN: CESWF-CT, Room 2A197, 819 Taylor Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102-0300 This is not a solicitation. A solicitation will be issued on or about 18 August 2018. CONTRACT INFORMATION: This announcement is a Full and Open acquisition to Repair and strengthen the reinforced concrete center pier of the Canyon Lake Service Bridge. Additionally, the sliding shoe bearings of the end pier shall be cleaned, lubricated, and verified operational. The Contractor shall be required to develop a work plan for this contract for Contracting Officer's approval which details the proposed procedures and schedule for accomplishing the requirements of this contract. Initial work consists of debris removal from sliding shoes of the End Pier (the Pier closest to the dam embankment), lubricating the shoes, and rendering the shoes free to move as designed if determined to be seized. Upon verification that End Pier sliding shoes are operable, repair efforts shall proceed to the primary focus of this Summary of Work: repair of cracks and strengthening concrete beneath fixed-pin bearing plates atop the Center Pier of the service bridge and the repair of localized spall on the pier exterior. The contract is anticipated to be approximately awarded in September 2018. To be eligible for contract award, a firm must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Register via the SAM Internet site at https://www.sam.gov/. No state level certifications will be accepted. PROJECT INFORMATION: Construction range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. This contract is a Design Bid Build for the construction of a Canyon Lake Service Bridge, Canyon Lake Texas. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and transportation necessary to perform the construction, as specified in the Statement of Work and Design Plans that will be attached to the future Request for Proposal (RFP). All work shall comply with all State, local and Federal laws and regulations, and applicable code requirements. The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is committed to excellence in the construction activity for this requirement. The construction of this project shall achieve the highest quality of operations and aesthetics in meeting the requirements of the design while at the same time being cost effective. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be greater than: between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 After solicitation issuance, contractors may view and or download this solicitation, specifications and all amendments at the following internet addresses: Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fbo.gov ).
