Description
This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 - Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions. The Library of Congress, Office of Contracts and Grants Management, intends to award a sole-source firm fixed price contract to Bounce AEG (Culver City, California). The period of performance shall run for one (1) year. The Library of Congress wishes to enter into a no-cost contract with Bounce AEG for production services for the 2019 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize. The Library requires a company to provide production services for a live musical tribute concert celebrating the award of the 2019 Gershwin Prize. The Library is changing the timing of the Prize award from the fall to the spring, the circumstances of this action deems only one source to be reasonably available to provide the services. This is not a request for quotes or proposals. Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. Responses to this notice should demonstrate evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission of the Library of Congress. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition.
