Amendment 0002 to Combined Synopsis/Solicitation 36C24618Q9368 The purpose of this amendment is to answer vendor s questions below: Who has the facility layout?   This is necessary to help our install team determine where the different sizes of pallet rack are to be placed?    Attached is the layout of the Basement. The warehouse is on the bottom left of the layout. As you know this facility has a dock level and a lower level, which brings us to the next question. In the bill of materials you have 12' beams.   The freight elevator that is to be used we measured it is 9' deep x 8' wide x 8' tall.   We can get the 12' beams in but only 4 - 6 at a time which will  require multiple trips up and down the elevator.   Again the layout will help us with the number of trips that are necessary. Attached is the layout of the Basement. The warehouse is on the bottom left of the layout. Are the Pallet rack upright frames to be anchored to the floor?   Typically that is the best practice, which prevents the racks from falling over and hurting people & products. Yes, they should be anchored due to safety/hazard concerns. The facility has existing product and shelving that is in place.   In our meeting it was discussed that the VA personnel would unload these shelves and relocate product.   That requires time to unload, and Chad stated he was thinking the facility personnel at VA could take care of this. Yes, the Warehouse personnel will be able to unload the shelves, and we can have our Engineers/Maintenance personnel remove the existing racks. ***Please note: The racks will be installed on the top level of warehouse as well as bottom level. Offers must acknowledge receipt of all amendments prior to the hour and date specified in the solicitation or as amended by referencing the solicitation and amendment numbers. Failure of your acknowledgement to be received at the place designated for the receipt of offers prior to the hour and date specified may result in rejection of your offer. Except as provided via amendments 0001 and 0002; all terms and conditions of COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICIATION 36C24618Q9368 remains unchanged and in full force and effect. Remember: ***Site visit is required for your quote to be evaluated. (I) Questions concerning this solicitation shall be addressed to Melisha Evans, Contracting Officer, and emailed to Melisha.Evans@va.gov. All questions or inquires must be submitted no later than 1:00PM Eastern Standard time on August 7, 2018. No phone calls will be accepted. (II) Any amendments issued to this solicitation will ONLY be available on the FBO website (www.fbo.gov). (III) Quotes are due by 04:00PM Eastern Standard time on August 8, 2018. Quotes received after this date and time will be considered late in accordance with 52.212- 1(f) and will not be evaluated. Written quotes shall be submitted via email to Melisha.Evans@va.gov. NO FAXED OR MAILED OFFERS WILL BE ACCEPTED. All submissions become part of the procurement file.
