- This is a sources sought synopsis for acquisition planning purposes and no formal solicitation exists at this time. All qualified concerns may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements will be reviewed to determine the technical, administrative, management, and financial capability of such offerors to perform this type of work. The capability statements will be used to determine appropriate procurement strategy, in particular whether a set-aside is warranted or an alternate procurement strategy is warranted. The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), Lower Colorado Dams Office (LCDO) has a requirement for the purchase of 20 Generator Bearing Heat Exchangers. Reclamation is seeking sources that are capable of providing the following Generator Bearing Heat Exchangers with the following salient characteristics: Heat exchanger ¿s diameter is approximately 6 ¿ Overall housing length is approximately 53 & 1/8 ¿ Two 1 ½ ¿ NPT water connections on one end Two 2 ¿ NPT oil connection ports approx. 44 ½ ¿ apart Shell and 3/16 ¿ cooling tubes are stainless steel Four-Pass heat exchange configuration Shell and tube pressure rating is 240 PSIG Shell and tube temperature rating is 400 degrees F Drain with threaded plug on the shell Prime (paint) the heat exchanger exterior and mounting carbon-steel hardware Supply mounting brackets and hardware Weight is approximately 150 pounds Interested offerors should provide product data information, including physical characteristics of available or suggested equipment, availability, and delivery timeframes. The capability package should include the following information: (1) Equipment product information; (2) Company name and address, point of contact, phone number and email address; (3) Business size and type: 8(a), HubZone, Service Disabled Veteran, Small Business, Women-owned, Large Business, etc. All firms should identify whether or not they are a small business or other than small business in accordance with the size standard for the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 332410, Power Boiler and Heat Exchanger Manufacturing which is being considered for the project ¿ The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS is 750 employees. Firms may also provide recommendation for use of and alternate NAICS code. Responsible sources are welcome to submit a capability statement on or before August 13, 2018.
