- 7000 Bid Sheet The Authority seeks to award a contract to one qualified contractor to provide Midlife Overhaul 7000 Series Kits. To that end, it is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP), FQ190365to solicit proposals from qualified firms and individuals who can satisfy the requirements described herein. The Office of Bus Maintenance has developed a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to ensure the Metro bus fleet is perpetually in a good state of repair throughout the lifecycle of each bus. A major project of the preventative maintenance program is the midlife overhaul program. The purpose of the midlife overhaul program is to repair, replace, and refurbish each bus typically in year seven of the fifteen year lifecycle. Each part in the kits shall have the manufacturer name, part number, and vendor part number submitted. •· A delivery schedule will be supplied with any purchase orders release associated with this contract. Typical delivery schedule will require to have three kits per week. •· All kits supplied under this contract shall have (2) year Warranty from the date the parts where installed per the WMATA work order. •· This is (1) year base requirements contract with two (2) one (1) year options which are subject to availability of funds. •· Estimated annual usage is 100 for base year, 100 for option year one, and 100 in in option year two. •· Each part in the kits shall have the WMATA part number, Manufacturer name, Manufacturer part number, and Vendor part number clearly labeled on the package. •· Each kit shall have the WMATA part number and Vendor part number clearly labeled on the package. •· All deliveries will be packaged to minimize damage. Individual parts will be boxed inside the kit or packaged to minimize damage. •· All kits shall be packaged in one container in a manner to reduce damage. •· Protect all parts that are susceptible to damage by using appropriate amounts of cushioning/protective material and placing in sturdy shipping container. It is recommended that large heavy pieces should not be packaged on the edge, but rather should be individually suspended between two supports with edge protectors, bubble wrapped then stretch wrapped. Use of corrugated roll-up, corrugated scored pads, and corrugated wrap are encouraged on each individual piece. Each individually wrapped piece can be shipped in a single container provided they are secured in such a way as not to move during transport. No bulk crates are allowed. All packaging materials being used are recommended to be environmentally friendly. All shipments will be FOB Destination. No shipping crates or materials will be reused or returned to shipper. All shipping units must be able to be stacked at least two high and not cause damage during transport. A Bill of Lading must be provided by the shipper with a copy inside the package listing all parts shipped and individual package numbers. No loose parts can be shipped inside the shipping package.
