Description
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS), Wildlife Services (WS) program located in Barrigada, Guam intends to award a sole source Purchase Order to Jager Pro, LLC located in Fortson, GA for eight Jager Pro feral swine control systems and accessories under the authority under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i). The feral swine trapping systems will be used in support of the feral swine management program mission objectives to minimize crop damage caused by feral swine. The Guam program requires a feral swine trapping system that can be remotely monitored and activated through a smartphone and cellular service. The system must have an electronically activated trap door and the trap itself must be portable in a standard pickup. The trapping system must use cameras which are compatible with the cellular phone systems on Guam. Guam does not have AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon available as carriers. The only two cellular companies available on-island are Docomo (based in Japan) and GTA (based in Guam). Many cellular devices shipped from the Mainland U.S. do not function on Guam, or they only do so with excessive international roaming fees. The Jager Pro feral swine trapping systems are compatible with Docomo cellular service which uses an older CDMA technology that is no longer widely available in the mainland U.S. Jager Pro, LLC is the only known company that manufactures a feral swine control system that meets all of the requirements to perform well in Guam without significant modification. A listing of the required swine control system components and accessories include: 8 each - JP M.I.N.E. Gate with Control Box 8 each - JP M.I.N.E. Camera 3G 8 each - JP M.I.N.E.
