Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Canon: Federal Supply Schedule Contract under SPE2D1-17-D-0022 FAR 8.405-6 Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Draeger Medical, under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(C), "In the interest of economy and efficiency, the new work is a logical follow-on to an original Federal Supply Schedule order and the original order was placed in accordance with the applicable Federal Supply Schedule ordering procedures." The proposed procurement is for the purchase of the following: 1 MSSW-MRSS2/L1 1 PROTON SPECTROSCOPY PACKAGE (SINGLE VOXEL) 1 MSSW-MRSM2/S1 1 ADVANCED PROTON MULTI-VOXEL SPECTROSCOPY PACKAGE The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334510 and the size standard is 1,250 employees. The intent is to award to Canon (Formerly Toshiba), who has a Federal Supply Schedule Contract under SPE2D1-17-D-0022. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider responses received by 1:00pm Eastern on August 16, 2018. Inquiries will only be accepted via email to brian.curtis2@va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
