Description
The government intends to award a sole source contract to Andor Technology, LTD for Dragonfly 505 multi-point confocal imaging system. The Fluorescence Microscopy and imaging Center (FMIC) currently has a 4-point scanning confocal microscope. FMIC requires a system that will broaden its imaging capability with a multi-modal imaging system that contains 1) multi-point confocal for fast scanning, 2) simultaneous dual color TIRF, and 3) Super-Resolution down to 20nm. Specifications listed below: The FMIC requires: 1. A multi-point confocal for high temporal imaging at 400 frames per second with the option of 2 pinhole choices 2. Borealis illumination to prevent pinhole-pinhole crosstalk with a uniform field of view 3. A dual camera system with 4 positions available for port and chromatic switching for dual color simultaneous capture 4. Simultaneous dual color Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence (TIRF) 5. 3D localization microscopy optics and appropriate laser excitation for STORM 6. GPU accelerated Deconvolution with parallel processing during image capture 7. SRRF-stream real time super-resolution functionality 8. Laser excitation from 7 different lasers which span the visible wavelength range but also extending into the near infrared (NIR) range for fluorescence emission. 9. Full cage incubation system (Temp, CO2, Humidity) which encloses the microscope 10. Optical Table with 4-inch-thick tabletop for vibration isolation 11. Scanning stage with piezo Z control 12. Computer and associated software to acquire and process image data 13. Installation & Introductory Training 5 days 14. One (1) year Andor Microscopy System Platinum Warranty
