Description
The following questions and answers have been submitted to industry. More questions have been received and will be published if they are valid and when answers are received. At this time, the USG does not plan on changing set-aside status. Please see the final solicitation for any updates at that time. 1) 3.2.2 (b) talks about having correct angles/dimensions for mounting of the actual COTS MSO Displays (x4), are these displays being provided NAVAIR? -No. Para 1.1 it states, The contractor will propose a design herein defined and, once approved by the Government, shall fabricate and finish parts, procure related COTS equipment, assemble, integrate and deliver the physical components of the Minotaur Crewman Simulator Student Station to NAWCTSD as a prototype. Paras 3.2.3, 3.2.4 and 3.2.5 state Material requirements and call out specific part numbers and specifications. 2) 3.2.2 (h) talks about having correct crew station dimensions for mounting of the Keyboard, Trackball, and the UHCU, are these items being provided by NAVAIR? -No. Para 1.1 it states, The contractor will propose a design herein defined and, once approved by the Government, shall fabricate and finish parts, procure related COTS equipment, assemble, integrate and deliver the physical components of the Minotaur Crewman Simulator Student Station to NAWCTSD as a prototype. Paras 3.2.3, 3.2.4 and 3.2.5 state Material requirements and call out specific part numbers and specifications. 3) 3.2.2 (v) Can NAVAIR please elaborate on what a graceful shutdown is? -The verbiage should be changed to read standard shutdown. This will be done in the final solicitation. 4) During reconfiguration of the MSO stations, what is the end-users anticipated maximum amount of time spent in being able to reconfigure the MSO stations? -This has not been determined by the USG. 5) Reading the SOW, am I understanding that the USN only wants touch-screen displays covering the areas of the functional hardware to reduce the cost of the overall training aid? -Yes
