SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 811310. Responses to this source sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 1, Network Contracting Office 1, is seeking sources that can provide boiler inspection services as outlined below for the VA Connecticut Healthcare System: STATEMENT OF WORK The Engineering Offices at VA CT Healthcare Systems in Newington and West Haven have a requirement for inspection of boilers and deaerator tanks at their boiler plants. WHERE: VA CT Medical Center - Newington 555 Willard Ave. Newington, CT 06111 VA CT Medical Center West Haven 950 Campbell Ave. West Haven, CT 06516 WHEN: Inspections must be scheduled as soon as possible; inspections are required as needed per unit when the unit is taken offline. DETAILS: Inspections must be accomplished by an inspector certified in accordance with CT Dept. of Administrative Services requirements to perform such inspections. (See https://www.cga.ct.gov/current/pub/chap_540.htm#sec_29-233 for more info) Inspections must be in accordance with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code. Boiler inspection reports must be completed following each inspection using Form NB-365 Boiler Inspection Report I-1.   Vendor must file completed reports to the boiler plant supervisor and COR within 24 hours after inspection completion. Each boiler, deaerator tank, and hot well system must be inspected in accordance with this statement of objectives once per calendar year.   Inspections must include internal and external inspections of the boilers. Internal and external deaerator tank inspection shall be done when the boiler plant is off line. RESPONSES: Responses to this RFI should include: A positive or negative statement of your firm s capability to provide the indicated services; A positive or negative statement of your firm s capability to provide employee credentials IAW the SOW above; Your firm s size status and representations of your business, such as but not limited to: Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Hub zone, Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), Large Business, etc. Responses to this RFI should be emailed to Douglas Huddy at douglas.huddy@va.gov.
