Description
1.GENERAL INTENTION. It is the declared and acknowledged intention of thissolicitation to obtain the supervision, expertise, labor, materials, and equipment toremove trees, vegetation and debris at NH11, Naval Medical Center. 2.LOCATION. The work location is at Naval Medical Center Helipad, NH111 CampLejeune, NC. 3.DETAILED REQUIREMENTS ROOF REPLACEMENT. The Contractor shall: a.Make a site visit and take such other steps as may be reasonably necessary toascertain the nature and location of the work and general local conditions that could affect the work or the cost thereof and should perform an inspection of each repair item, taking their own measurements and developing their own material requirements in accordance with the specifications. Failure to do so will not relieve the contractor from the responsibility of estimating properly the difficulty or cost of successfully performing the work. The dimensions provided are approximated. b.Remove all trees, vegetation and debris as generally indicated on the attached map inareas outlined in yellow (2 locations, approximately 10 acres). The area outlined in red will remain clear of debris, machinery and personnel at all times due to this area will remain an active landing pad. In case a landing needs to occur, all personnel will need to vacate the area during the emergency landing. All trees in wetlands will be required to be removed by hand, no machinery will be allowed in any wetlands area. Stumps shall be no greater than 2 inches high after tree removal. c.Upon completion of all tree removal in the two locations, all debris and rubbish shall beremoved from Naval Medical Center property and disposed of properly at the contractor ™s expense. d.The contractor shall be responsible to acquire all required permits before commencingwork. e.The tree removal work around the landing pad will be coordinated with FacilitiesMaintenance Department before starting removal of trees. The Contractor shall be required to: a.Coordinate all work and schedules with the Contracting Officer ™s DesignatedRepresentative and the building occupants. All work performed is estimated using the hours of 0700-1600, Monday through Friday. Any work performed outside of these periods must be pre-approved. b.Complete the work within sixty (60) calendar days after contract is awarded. SAP # 4841097 c. All material associated with the repair, replacement, or removal is the property of the contractor and shall be removed from the base and discarded in an approved landfill. d. All North Carolina Building Codes, Fire Codes, Statutes, NEC, OSHA Safety Codes and the U. S. Army Corps of Engineer ™s Safety and Health Requirements Manual, EM 385-1-1 shall be strictly enforced. An accident prevention plan in accordance with the EM 385-1-1 is required. The contractor is responsible for any required permits. e. All outages require Contractors written request fifteen (15) days prior to commencement of such work and Contracting Officers approval. f. The contractor is to stay off the grass. If grass is damaged during this contract it must be replanted with sod.
