Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, NCO16 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source for the following items listed below. The associated NAICS code is 339115, Opthalmic Goods Manufacturing, size standard 1000 employees. The vendor will be Oculus, Inc., 17721 59th Avenue NE, Arlington, WA 98223. Description of equipment requirements: Pentacam AXL including software 1 Each Dicom for Pentacam 1 Each Installation and Training A firm fixed price contract with no option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government s belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government s intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence the competition would be advantageous to the Government. Reponses via email to Melanie.Hawley@va.gov with Pentacam in subject line, must be received no later than 4 pm on Monday, August 20, 2018.
